Embark on a rewarding contract opportunity providing physical therapy services in a dynamic educational environment near Lexington Park, MD. This full-time assignment supports students growth and well-being, allowing you to make a meaningful difference throughout the school year.
There are two distinct caseload openings:
- One Early Intervention role spanning 11 months, focusing on supporting young learners as they achieve developmental milestones.
- One K-12 position, collaborating with school teams to help students achieve their functional goals.
Begin your journey on August 10th, 2026, and see your impact flourish through June 17th, 2027.
Key Qualifications:
- Active Physical Therapist license in Maryland (MD PT License)
- Experience in schools or pediatric settings preferred
- Strong communication and documentation skills
- Collaborative approach to working with educators, families, and other related service professionals
- Adaptable and organized, able to manage varied caseload demands
Primary Responsibilities:
- Conduct assessments to determine students physical therapy needs
- Develop and implement effective treatment plans to foster student progress toward IEP/IFSP goals
- Provide direct therapy services in accordance with recommended frequencies
- Maintain accurate, timely documentation and progress reports
- Consult and collaborate with teachers, staff, and caregivers to optimize outcomes
- Participate in meetings and contribute expertise to multidisciplinary teams
