Job Description

An opportunity is available for a Physical Therapist with school-based or pediatric experience near Oakhurst and Emory, Georgia. This position is based in Lawrenceville, GA, supporting local schools with physical therapy services to children in a structured educational setting. Candidates with prior school experience are highly preferred to effectively address student-specific therapy goals.

This role is primarily full-time onsite, but part-time candidates who can commit to a minimum of three days per week will also be considered. The position is contract-based, geared toward the current school year, with the potential for extension into the summer session as well as the 2026-2027 school year. Active interviewing is underway to quickly identify qualified therapists for immediate placement.

Key Qualifications and Requirements:

  • Valid Georgia PT license and registration with the Georgia State Board of Physical Therapy
  • Previous school-based or pediatric physical therapy experience preferred
  • Ability to work onsite in a school setting, delivering hands-on therapy for children
  • Flexibility to work full-time or a minimum of three days per week on a contract basis

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Assess and treat students requiring physical therapy to support educational progress
  • Develop individualized therapy plans in collaboration with educators and healthcare teams
  • Maintain accurate documentation and communicate progress to school staff and families
  • Adhere to state and federal guidelines relating to school health services
