Job Description

Step into a rewarding contract opportunity supporting students in area schools as a Physical Therapist this summer. This on-site position is based near Laurel, MD, with assignments at local campuses, focusing on either a five-week Extended School Year (ESY) program or serving infants and toddlers through assessments and therapy. Qualifications:

  • Current, active Maryland Physical Therapy license (MD Professional Licensure)
  • Experience in school-based or pediatric physical therapy strongly preferred
  • Ability to provide documentation of credentials, including licensure images
  • Must be able to pass a district background check, fingerprinting, and employment history review as required by House Bill 486
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, adaptable to varied student needs
  • Comfortable working independently and within an interdisciplinary team

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver skilled physical therapy services to students in accordance with individualized education plans (IEPs) or IFSPs
  • Collaborate with educators, parents, and other service providers to support student goals
  • Complete required documentation and reports in a timely, professional manner
  • Participate in a paid professional development session prior to program start
  • Engage in assessments and therapy for infants and toddlers, or provide therapy for the ESY program (caseload and assigned schools to be determined)
  • Maintain compliance with all regulatory, district, and licensing requirements
