Key Qualifications:

• Valid state licensure in Physical Education and/or Adaptive Physical Education
• Bachelors or Masters degree in Physical Education, Adapted Physical Education, or a related field
• Previous experience working with children or adolescents with diverse physical and learning needs
• Strong communication skills with a collaborative approach to teaming with educators and support staff
• Ability to design, implement, and evaluate individualized physical education plans

Role Responsibilities:

• Assess students motor skills and individualized needs to develop specialized physical education programs
• Adapt physical education curriculum to foster accessibility and participation for all students
• Implement engaging fitness activities that promote health, teamwork, and confidence
• Document progress, prepare reports, and participate in IEP meetings as required
• Coordinate with teachers, therapists, and families to support each student's development and ensure a positive, supportive classroom environment
