This role focuses on delivering tailored physical education programs for students with diverse abilities in a school setting, ensuring every learner has access to engaging, effective physical development activities.

Desired Skills & Experience:

• Valid teaching certification in Physical Education, with appropriate state credentials
• Endorsement or experience in Adaptive Physical Education (APE) required
• Previous experience working in a school environment, preferably with students with special needs
• Strong understanding of IEPs and the ability to implement adaptive strategies
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement adaptive physical education lesson plans to accommodate students individual abilities and learning styles
• Collaborate with teachers, therapists, and school staff to coordinate integrated services for students
• Monitor student progress, assess physical motor skills, and provide regular feedback to support educational goals
• Prepare educational materials and adapt equipment as needed to meet students needs
• Maintain accurate records in compliance with state and federal regulations
• Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to individualized student programming
