This contract role offers the chance to make a meaningful impact, working full-time at 35 hours each week throughout the school year with a diverse student population. Youll collaborate closely with educators and families to help students achieve their mobility and functional goals within the school setting.
Key Qualifications:
- Valid licensure as a Physical Therapist (PT) or Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA)
- Experience with youth, ideally in school-based or pediatric settings
- Knowledge of IEP development and implementation
- Strong communication, collaboration, and documentation skills
- Familiarity with a range of disabilities, supporting students from multiple grade levels
- Ability to thrive independently and as part of an interdisciplinary team
Primary Responsibilities:
- Conduct assessments and develop customized therapy plans for students
- Deliver direct physical therapy services as outlined in each students IEP
- Collaborate with teachers, school staff, and families to ensure optimal student support
- Document progress, maintain compliance with district and state guidelines
- Adapt therapy approaches to meet students unique physical and educational needs
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to the educational teams decisions
