Qualifications & Experience

• Masters degree in Physical Therapy required
• Current New Mexico physical therapist license
• Previous experience working in school-based or pediatric settings preferred
• Strong communication skills for effective collaboration with educators and parents
• Ability to adapt therapy approaches for children from early elementary to high school
• Commitment to promoting a positive, inclusive learning environment

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct assessments and develop individualized treatment plans for students
• Provide direct physical therapy services and consult with school staff on student needs
• Monitor progress, document outcomes, and adjust support strategies as necessary
• Participate in multi-disciplinary team meetings and contribute to Individualized Education Plans (IEPs)
• Educate and empower staff and families regarding physical therapy best practices
• Ensure compliance with state and federal school-based physical therapy guidelines
