Qualifications & Desired Experience:

  • Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program.
  • Current state licensure as a Physical Therapist.
  • Prior experience in pediatric or school-based physical therapy settings highly preferred.
  • Strong understanding of IEP development, implementation, and relevant documentation.
  • Compassionate approach with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to collaborate with educators, parents, and multidisciplinary teams.

Responsibilities:

  • Assess students physical abilities and develop individualized therapy plans to promote mobility, strength, and participation in school activities.
  • Deliver direct therapy services in accordance with student IEPs.
  • Monitor progress and adjust interventions as needed to achieve targeted outcomes.
  • Coach and train school staff in safe student handling and appropriate accommodations.
  • Maintain up-to-date documentation and participate in IEP meetings.
  • Foster a positive, inclusive environment that encourages student growth and achievement.
