Step into a dynamic school-based role where youll make a meaningful difference for K12 students across a vibrant Houston-area district. This full-time Physical Therapist (PT) opportunity runs through May 26, 2027, and offers rewarding variety as you support multiple campuses and ages. As a valued contributor, youll impact the lives of approximately 160 students50 of whom require direct PT serviceswhile collaborating with a skilled, like-minded PT colleague. With the district office as your home base, youll enjoy a balanced routine and the chance to use your expertise in pediatric or school settings.
Key Qualifications & Experience:
- Active Texas PT license (or, for highly qualified candidates, a PTA license with multiple years of relevant school or pediatric experience)
- Experience working with K12 students and familiarity with school-based PT services
- Proficiency in documentation using Frontline and SuccessEd systems is a plus
- Ability to work on-site and travel between campuses (district office available as a workspace)
- Must successfully complete state fingerprinting and background check
- Please note: Former employees of the district or individuals previously terminated from any school district will not be considered (affidavit required during onboarding)
Responsibilities:
- Provide individualized and group PT services for students across approximately 50 campuses, focusing on both direct intervention and collaborative case management
- Split a shared caseload, partnering with another PT for optimal student outcomes
- Conduct comprehensive evaluations, develop plans of care, and support IEP meetings
- Complete necessary documentation in compliance with school and state requirements
- Maintain effective communication with teachers, staff, and families
