Desired Qualifications & Experience:
- Current state licensure as a Physical Therapist (PT)
- Previous experience in a pediatric or educational setting preferred
- Strong understanding of IEP processes and special education best practices
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
- Ability to adapt sessions to individual student needs and learning styles
- Passion for empowering students with mobility or developmental challenges
- Organizational skills for documentation and scheduling
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide physical therapy services to students as outlined in their Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Conduct assessments and participate in multidisciplinary team meetings to discuss student progress
- Develop and implement therapeutic activities using evidence-based practices
- Collaborate closely with teachers, families, and other service providers
- Maintain detailed records of student progress and therapy sessions
- Contribute to the creation of adaptive equipment or classroom modifications as needed
- Educate staff and families on techniques to support students throughout the school day
