Qualifications & Desired Experience:
- Master's or Doctorate degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program
- Current state Physical Therapist license in Kansas (or eligibility to obtain)
- Previous experience in a school, pediatric, or related healthcare setting preferred
- Strong knowledge of pediatric physical therapy best practices and IEP processes
- Ability to engage effectively with students, educators, and families
- Excellent communication, organizational, and time-management skills
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver individualized and group physical therapy services to students as outlined in their IEPs
- Conduct assessments to identify students strengths and needs related to gross motor skills, balance, and physical mobility
- Develop and implement customized therapy plans and interventions
- Collaborate with teachers, school staff, and parents to support classroom adaptation and student success
- Maintain accurate, up-to-date documentation and progress reports
- Participate in IEP meetings and provide input as a specialist
