Required Skills and Qualifications:

• Active Illinois Physical Therapist (PT) license
• Prior experience as a PT in a school or healthcare setting preferred
• Knowledge and understanding of pediatric therapy and best practices
• Strong communication skills for effective collaboration with students, families, and staff
• Ability to work independently and manage a varied K-12 caseload

Primary Responsibilities:

• Provide physical therapy services to students in grades K-12 according to individualized education plans (IEPs) and district guidelines
• Assess motor function, mobility, and develop treatment plans tailored to student needs
• Maintain thorough documentation of sessions, progress, and communications in compliance with school and state requirements
• Collaborate closely with special education staff, teachers, and families to ensure student success
• Participate in IEP meetings, contribute to the development of goals, and assist with progress evaluations
• Educate staff and caregivers on strategies for supporting student access to their learning environment
