Make a difference in the lives of K-12 students as a Physical Therapist in a supportive and collaborative school environment near Jamestown, NY. This contract-based opportunity offers the chance to provide hands-on support to children and adolescents while working closely with educators and families.
Key Qualifications:
- Current and valid New York Physical Therapist (PT) license
- Experience working with school-aged children (K-12) preferred
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Flexibility, reliability, and ability to adapt to a dynamic school setting
- Commitment to fostering student independence and well-being
Role Responsibilities:
- Deliver integrated physical therapy services for K-12 students according to Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) and school requirements
- Work on-site 1 day per week, from 8:15am to 2:15pm, within a collaborative team environment
- Document student progress, maintain timely reports, and participate in IEP meetings as needed
- Collaborate with teachers, faculty, and parents to ensure consistent student support
- Educate school staff on techniques and interventions to best assist students physical mobility and access
