Key Qualifications and Experience:
- Must hold an active California Physical Therapist (PT) License
- Previous experience in school-based or pediatric physical therapy preferred
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with students, staff, and families
- Organized, adaptable, and comfortable working with diverse student populations
Core Responsibilities:
- Deliver school-based physical therapy services in accordance with IEP goals and district policies
- Assess and document students functional motor needs and progress
- Develop and implement individualized therapy plans
- Collaborate closely with educators, families, and interdisciplinary teams
- Participate in IEP meetings and provide recommendations to optimize student access to learning environments
- Provide guidance, training, and support to educational staff as needed
