This full-time contract opportunity involves working Monday through Friday from 8:00am to 3:30pm, contributing your expertise to promote student success and well-being.
Your day-to-day role will emphasize school-based therapy, collaborating with educators and student support teams. The position calls for adaptable professionals confident in both direct treatment and the broader aspects of student care. Onsite presence is required, ensuring hands-on support and collaboration.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Active license as a Physical Therapist
- Experience in school-based PT settings highly valued
- Ability to complete detailed evaluations, IEPs, LMNs, and progress monitoring
- Familiarity with classroom equipment and adaptations for physical needs
- Experience or training in TPBA PreK assessments is a strong advantage
- Confidence supervising Physical Therapist Assistants (PTA)
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver therapy services as part of a multidisciplinary school team
- Perform initial and ongoing student evaluations and participate in IEP development
- Conduct progress monitoring and document student outcomes
- Supervise and mentor at least one PTA, ensuring high-quality support
- Participate in meetings and collaborate with teachers and families
- Adapt physical therapy approaches per student needs and classroom requirements
