Desired Experience and Qualifications:

  • Active and unrestricted Physical Therapy licensure in California
  • Masters or Doctorate degree from an accredited Physical Therapy program
  • Previous experience as a Physical Therapist in schools or pediatric settings is highly valued
  • Strong understanding of IEP processes and documentation standards
  • Effective communication and collaboration skills with diverse teams
  • Ability to craft evidence-based treatment plans tailored to childrens needs
  • CPR certification preferred

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive assessments to identify students physical therapy needs within a school setting
  • Develop, implement, and update Individualized Education Program (IEP) goals and interventions
  • Deliver direct therapy services to students, individually and in group sessions, focusing on improving mobility, balance, strength, and independence in daily activities
  • Collaborate with teachers, educational specialists, and families to promote students progress and access to curriculum
  • Maintain timely and accurate records in compliance with district, state, and federal requirements
  • Educate staff and caregivers about strategies to support students motor skill development and safety
