Make a meaningful impact as a contract Physical Therapist supporting elementary students from August 2026 through May 2027. This part-time, on-site opportunity located near Hayward, CA provides an engaging role within a welcoming educational environment. You'll work 10-12 hours per week to help students reach their goals and thrive during the school year.
Qualifications:
- Hold a current California Physical Therapist license (no educator credential required)
- Previous experience in a school-based or pediatric setting highly valued
- Skilled at collaborating with teachers, staff, and families for student success
- Comfortable managing a varied elementary caseload
- Reliable, effective communicator, and dedicated to student care
Role Responsibilities:
- Deliver individualized and group physical therapy services for elementary-age students
- Assess, plan, and implement therapy interventions that align with IEPs and district goals
- Collaborate with classroom staff, special education teams, and families for student progress monitoring and goal attainment
- Maintain thorough, organized documentation of treatment sessions, goals, and measurable outcomes
- Adapt therapy approaches as needed to meet diverse student needs and changing case demands
- Participate in team meetings and provide professional input regarding student mobility and access within the school setting
