Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Physical Therapist (PT) to provide school-based services for students at one elementary school and one middle school. The PT will support students with mobility, strength, balance, coordination, and functional motor skills needed to access and participate in the educational environment.

This position is part-time, approximately 2 days per week.

Responsibilities

• Conduct physical therapy evaluations for school-aged students
• Develop and implement therapy goals as part of Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
• Provide direct and consultative physical therapy services
• Support students with gross motor development, mobility, positioning, balance, coordination, and functional movement skills
• Collaborate with teachers, parents, administrators, and multidisciplinary teams
• Participate in IEP meetings and team meetings as needed
• Maintain accurate documentation, progress reports, and compliance records
• Recommend adaptive equipment and classroom accommodations when appropriate
• Monitor student progress and adjust treatment plans as needed
• Promote student participation, independence, and safety within the school environment

Qualifications

• Doctorate or Masters Degree in Physical Therapy
• Active state PT license
• Previous pediatric or school-based experience preferred
• Strong communication, organization, and collaboration skills

Compensation for this position ranges from $37.50 to $64.00. Eligible candidates may also receive healthcare benefits, housing, and meals/incidentals.
