A contract position is available for an experienced Physical Therapist to provide impactful services at both an elementary and a middle school near Gurnee, IL for the upcoming academic year. Key Qualifications:
- Hold a valid Illinois Physical Therapist license
- Previous experience in pediatric or school-based therapy strongly preferred
- Strong communication and collaboration abilities
- Passion for facilitating student development and achievement
- Positive, proactive approach to working with multi-disciplinary teams
Responsibilities:
- Deliver physical therapy assessments and treatments to students according to individualized education programs (IEPs)
- Work collaboratively with teachers, staff, and families to support student participation in school-related activities
- Document services, progress, and any necessary modifications to therapy plans
- Consult with faculty to adapt classroom environments for student needs
- Participate in IEP meetings, providing expert input regarding student goals and outcomes
