Were seeking a part-time physical therapist for extended school year (ESY) services during the summer session, working with students from June 8th through July 2nd. This contract opportunity allows you to make a positive impact in just 1-2 hours per week perfect for those seeking meaningful work with flexibility.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Valid California Physical Therapist (PT) license required
- Previous experience in school-based or pediatric physical therapy preferred
- Comfortable working in a collaborative, educational setting
- Strong communication skills for interacting with students, families, and educational teams
- Experience with ESY (Extended School Year) or similar summer programs is advantageous
Responsibilities:
- Provide individualized and group PT services for students enrolled in summer school/ESY
- Conduct assessments and develop treatment plans to address students mobility and functional needs
- Collaborate with special education staff, teachers, and families to support student goals
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation in compliance with school and state guidelines
- Serve as a key resource for students and staff, ensuring support for each childs unique abilities
