Key Qualifications:
- Active license to practice Physical Therapy in the state of Michigan
- Previous experience in a school-based or pediatric setting strongly preferred
- Solid understanding of IEP processes and requirements for school-based therapy
- Exceptional interpersonal, communication, and collaboration abilities
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage a diverse caseload
- Adaptable, with a positive attitude and a commitment to inclusive practices
Primary Responsibilities:
- Conduct evaluations and develop individualized treatment plans for students with physical therapy needs
- Deliver evidence-based interventions both one-on-one and in group settings as required by student IEPs
- Monitor and document student progress; participate in IEP meetings and multidisciplinary team discussions
- Provide guidance and support to teachers and families regarding strategies to enhance student mobility and participation
- Maintain compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations pertaining to school-based therapy services
- Stay current with best practices through ongoing professional development
