Step into a rewarding contract role supporting students mobility, independence, and success within school settings. We are seeking experienced Physical Therapists for on-site summer positionsfocus areas include both the Extended School Year (ESY) program and specialized services for infants and toddlers.
Choose the schedule that fits you best:
- ESY Program (In-Person): June 29 July 30, MondayThursday, with professional development on June 25. Hours will be from 9:30 AM3:30 PM at Special Education locations, or 8:00 AM2:00 PM at General Education sites (24 hours/week).
- Infants and Toddlers Services: June 22 July 30, MondayThursday, up to 28 hours/week.
What Were Looking For:
- Valid and current Maryland professional Physical Therapy license (upload documentation upon application)
- Experience in pediatric, school-based settings preferred
- Strong communication, collaboration, and time management skills
- Familiarity with special education processes is a plus
- Must complete a district background check/fingerprinting and House Bill 486 employment history review
- Availability for an internal eligibility interview (prescreen)
- Ability to start in late June and commit through program completion
Role Responsibilities:
- Deliver targeted PT services in accordance with IEPs or individual needs
- Evaluate, document, and track student progress
- Consult with teachers and other specialists to maximize student outcomes
- Participate in professional development and team meetings
- Provide in-person support and assessments as assigned; caseload and exact school assignments to be determined
