Job Description

This contract opportunity is based near Nottingham, MD, and offers you the chance to work with a vibrant student population ranging from pre-K through 12th grade, including those with a variety of mild to severe disabilities such as autism, cognitive challenges, and medically fragile conditions.

Youll collaborate with educators and support staff to create personalized therapy plans that help students build independence and reach their fullest potential. From hands-on therapy sessions to participation in team meetings, your expertise will inspire and empower students as they navigate both academics and essential life skills.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Active Maryland Physical Therapy (PT) License
  • Experience in school-based settings, and providing PT services to children and adolescents
  • Comfortable working with a diverse caseload of mild to severe disabilities (autism, cognitive impairments, medically fragile conditions, etc.)
  • Strong teamwork, communication, and documentation skills
  • Flexibility and adaptability within a school environment

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct assessments and develop individualized treatment plans
  • Deliver direct and consultative PT services for pre-K to 12th grade students
  • Collaborate with special education teams and families on student progress and goals
  • Maintain timely, comprehensive documentation in accordance with school and legal requirements
  • Adapt activities to accommodate mobility and safety needs
