Embark on a rewarding contract opportunity as a Physical Therapist supporting students from kindergarten through 12th grade. Just outside of Jamestown, NY, this position allows you to make a significant impact within a school setting while maintaining a balanced schedule. As a vital part of the schools allied health services, youll play a key role in helping students reach their physical development goals.
Key Qualifications:
- Hold a current New York Physical Therapist (PT) License
- Previous experience with K-12 student populations preferred
- Experience or strong interest in school-based therapy services
- Exceptional communication skills for collaborating with educators, families, and students
- Ability to adapt approach to diverse student needs and educational environments
What Youll Do:
- Provide direct physical therapy services to students one day a week (8:15am-2:15pm, Monday through Friday scheduling options)
- Conduct assessments and develop individualized treatment plans for a diverse caseload
- Document student progress and maintain compliance with all school and state regulations
- Collaborate with teachers, special education staff, and families to promote successful student outcomes
- Participate in Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings, sharing your expertise to support student goals
