In this position, youll provide impactful physical therapy services to mostly PreK students within a supportive educational framework, making a significant difference in early childhood development.
Key Qualifications and Experience:
- Current license as a Physical Therapist (PT) in California
- Prior experience working in a school setting highly desirable
- Previous work with special education (SPED) populations preferred
- Bilingual Spanish speakers encouraged to apply
- Comfortable with a flexible, part-time schedule (approximately 15 hours per week)
- Passion for working with young children and collaborating with teachers, staff, and families
Primary Responsibilities:
- Conduct assessments and provide individualized physical therapy interventions for PreK students
- Collaborate with special education teams to support student goals and IEP implementation
- Develop and adapt therapy activities to enhance students physical abilities and participation within the school environment
- Communicate progress and recommendations effectively with families and school staff
- Maintain organized documentation and adhere to all state and district guidelines
- Contribute to a positive, inclusive, and engaging learning atmosphere
