Experience a rewarding contract opportunity serving young learners in the St. Louis and Jennings area as a physical therapist supporting early childhood education programs. Enjoy a role where you make a meaningful impact by helping PreK students achieve their physical development milestones within two schools. This assignment is approximately 22.5 hours per week, spread over three consistent weekdays of your choice, with an additional potential day opening up later in the school year. Start as soon as possible and continue through the end of May.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Valid and active Missouri Physical Therapy (PT) license
- Previous experience in pediatric and/or school-based settings strongly preferred
- Familiarity with IEP development and implementation in early childhood education
- Ability to adapt therapeutic strategies for a variety of physical and developmental needs
- Strong communication and collaboration skills with multidisciplinary teams
- Current fingerprinting eligibility (must provide TCN number for credentialing)
- Willingness to complete required district technology documentation
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct, hands-on physical therapy services to PreK students
- Evaluate and document progress using school district systems and forms
- Collaborate closely with teachers, support staff, and families to develop comprehensive plans
- Attend IEP meetings and contribute to goal setting and progress assessment
- Support both the Riverview and Jennings school sub-districts, working between campuses as assigned
- Ensure compliance with district and state guidelines for therapy in educational settings
