Qualifications & Experience:

  • Masters degree in Physical Therapy required
  • Valid Michigan physical therapist license
  • Previous experience in school-based or pediatric physical therapy strongly preferred
  • Strong communication skills for collaboration with teachers, staff, and families
  • Ability to work with diverse student populations from elementary through high school

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver physical therapy assessments and individualized interventions for students with a range of abilities
  • Develop and implement therapy goals as part of students Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
  • Collaborate with teachers and other school staff to promote student access and participation
  • Educate and consult with families and staff on strategies to improve students functional mobility and classroom participation
  • Maintain thorough documentation and progress reports in compliance with school and state requirements
