Desired Skills & Experience:
- Current or pending Washington State Physical Therapist licensure
- Previous experience in a school-based or pediatric setting highly preferred
- Familiarity with IEP processes and documentation requirements
- Strong ability to collaborate with teachers, parents, and multidisciplinary teams
- Compassionate, patient-centered approach and effective communication skills
- Knowledge of adaptive equipment and techniques for educational environments
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct screenings, assessments, and evaluations for students with diverse needs
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to support students mobility, independence, and participation
- Provide direct therapy within classrooms or designated therapy spaces
- Document progress towards IEP goals and maintain timely, accurate records
- Consult and train staff on safe handling, positioning, and accessibility strategies
- Attend IEP meetings and contribute to team-based planning
- Adapt interventions to maximize each students success within the school community
