Embark on a fulfilling contract role as a school-based Physical Therapist serving students across all grade levels within a dynamic educational setting. This position offers an immediate opportunity to make an impact both during the Extended School Year (ESY) from July 8, 2026, to July 30, 2036, and full-time for the academic year from August 13, 2026, through May 28, 2027.
Your schedule will run Monday through Friday, 8:00am to 3:30pm, totaling 35 hours per week, with responsibility for approximately 50 students in partnership with the PT/PTA team. You will travel between several schoolslocations will be organized as closely as possible for ease of commute, and all mileage will be reimbursed.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Active Physical Therapist license.
- Experience within a school setting, with preference for early intervention and Pre-K familiarity.
- Fingerprinting required to work with Pre-K students.
- Training in TPBA (Transdisciplinary Play-Based Assessment) for Pre-K evaluations is desirable but not mandatory.
- Ability to adapt to different school environments and collaborate with a multidisciplinary support team.
Role Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct PT services to students per their IEPs.
- Collaborate with teachers, staff, and families to create supportive strategies and therapeutic interventions.
- Conduct Pre-K evaluations when needed.
- Travel between multiple school sites to ensure consistent care across the caseload.
