Job Description

Step into a rewarding assignment as a Physical Therapist, supporting students' growth and independence throughout the 20262027 academic year. Based near Fayetteville, this full-time, onsite contract runs from August 13, 2026, through May 21, 2027, with consistent hoursMonday through Friday, 8:00 am to 3:30 pm, totaling 35 hours weekly. Youll collaborate with educators and families in a vibrant school setting, fostering each students physical success within the classroom environment.

Desired Skills & Qualifications:

  • Current and active license as a Physical Therapist
  • Prior school-based experience is highly preferred
  • Background in providing direct treatment services in pediatric or educational settings
  • Proficiency in completing evaluations, writing IEPs, LMNs, and conducting ongoing progress monitoring
  • Familiarity with classroom equipment and adaptive devices
  • Ability to supervise at least one PTA is required
  • Training or experience with TPBA (Transdisciplinary Play-Based Assessment) for PreK students is a significant advantage
  • Flexibility to adapt to varying caseloads and collaborate effectively with school teams
  • Strong communication and organizational skills

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver individualized and group physical therapy aimed at supporting students educational participation
  • Conduct thorough assessments and participate in IEP meetings, contributing to student-centered planning
  • Develop, document, and track treatment goals and progress
  • Supervise PTA staff and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams
  • Participate in ongoing training, professional development, and parent/caregiver education
  • Implement adaptive classroom strategies and recommend equipment as needed
