You'll work collaboratively with educators, parents, and other professionals to create tailored plans that help students succeed both academically and physically.

Qualifications and Preferred Experience:

• Master's degree in Physical Therapy (required)
• Active New Mexico physical therapist license (required)
• Prior experience in school-based or pediatric physical therapy strongly preferred
• Ability to adapt interventions for different age groups and developmental stages
• Strong communication and collaborative skills
• Commitment to fostering inclusion and empowering student independence

Key Responsibilities:

• Assess students to identify needs related to functional mobility, motor skill development, and classroom participation
• Develop, implement, and update individualized treatment plans and goals as part of the IEP process
• Deliver direct and consultative physical therapy services across elementary, middle, and high school campuses
• Collaborate with teachers, special education staff, and families to support student progress
• Participate in team meetings, contribute to documentation, and maintain compliance with school and state guidelines
• Provide training and resources to school staff and families as needed
