As a valued PT, youll play a vital role in helping students build mobility, strength, and independence, collaborating closely with educators and families. Enjoy a consistent schedulejust one day per week, from 8:15am to 2:15pm, Monday through Fridayleaving room for personal endeavors or additional professional pursuits.
Key Qualifications:
- Holds a valid New York Physical Therapy license
- Experience in school-based physical therapy is preferred
- Comfortable working with diverse K-12 populations
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Committed to fostering students functional progress in educational settings
Primary Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough assessments and deliver tailored physical therapy interventions for students
- Develop and implement Individualized Education Program (IEP) goals
- Engage in multidisciplinary team meetings and contribute to IEP planning
- Document progress and maintain accurate records in compliance with school guidelines
- Consult with staff and families on adaptive strategies to maximize student participation in school activities
