Step into a rewarding contract opportunity as an onsite Physical Therapist supporting students from kindergarten through age 22. Provide your expertise, compassion, and drive to promote student success during a maternity leave coverage from May 18, 2026, through June 25, 2026. Located near Fairport, NY, this position offers meaningful work in a dynamic educational setting with the possibility to extend your impact by combining it with additional summer coverage if interested.
In this engaging full-time role, youll collaborate with a supportive staff while maintaining a healthy work-life balanceenjoying a Monday to Friday schedule of 35 hours per week, with a 30-minute unpaid lunch each day.
Desired Qualifications & Experience:
- Current New York State Physical Therapist (PT) license (must be provided with your resume for consideration)
- Prior experience in a school-based or pediatric setting is highly preferred
- Proven ability to support students with diverse physical needs across varied age groups (K-22)
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with educators, families, and related service providers
- Commitment to providing individualized, compassionate care in an educational environment
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct physical therapy services to students as part of their Individualized Education Programs (IEP)
- Develop and implement treatment plans and interventions
- Maintain accurate documentation and monitor student progress
- Consult with teaching and support staff to adapt classroom environments and activities
- Participate in IEP meetings and district-wide collaboration
