This flexible opportunity is perfect for professionals passionate about helping students develop and thrive through tailored physical therapy services. Youll be working part-time (3 days per week) and supporting one school, focusing on impactful, hands-on care.
Key Qualifications:
- Current Physical Therapist (PT) license valid in California
- Previous experience working with pediatric and/or school-aged populations
- Familiarity with IEP processes and documentation in a school setting preferred
- Strong communication skills to collaborate with educators and families
- Ability to manage caseloads and adapt interventions for individual student needs
Core Responsibilities:
- Evaluate students functional mobility and motor skills within the school environment
- Develop, implement, and document personalized physical therapy treatment plans
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including special education staff, teachers, and parents
- Participate in IEP meetings, providing insights and recommendations regarding students physical therapy needs
- Monitor progress, adjusting interventions and goals as needed throughout the school year
- Maintain thorough records in accordance with district and state guidelines
