This role focuses on delivering in-person physical therapy during the summer, working either with school-age students in the Extended School Year (ESY) program, or with infants and toddlers needing developmental assessments and care. Your expertise will contribute to students growth and success during pivotal summer months.
Key Qualifications:
- Active Maryland Professional Physical Therapy License required
- Ability to provide documentation of credentialing and licensure
- Experience with pediatric or school-based physical therapy preferred
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work closely with education teams and families
- Comfortable adapting to varied schedules and school settings
- Willingness to complete required district background check, fingerprinting, and employment history review in accordance with state law
- Availability for prescreen interviews as part of the eligibility process
Primary Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct physical therapy services onsite Monday through Thursday, June 22nd/29th July 30th (depending on assignment)
- Conduct assessments and provide interventions tailored to students developmental needs
- Participate in professional development (June 25th) to prepare for the summer session
- Collaborate with educators and family members to develop and follow individualized plans for each student
- Maintain timely and accurate documentation, supporting ongoing progress monitoring
- Serve a flexible number of schools and caseloads, as determined by the district
