Job Description

This position is based in the Ellicott City and Nottingham, MD areas, offering a steady 35+ hours per week. Your skills will make a meaningful difference for children who are blind, visually impaired, or have additional challenges, empowering them with life skills and greater independence.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Valid Maryland Physical Therapy license (PT)
  • Demonstrated experience working in school or pediatric settings
  • Comfort supporting students with mild to severe disabilities and a variety of needs
  • Familiarity with individualized education plans (IEPs) and collaborative multidisciplinary teams
  • Strong communication and documentation abilities
  • Compassion, resourcefulness, and adaptability

Key Responsibilities:

  • Evaluate and deliver evidence-based PT services for students from pre-K through 12th grade
  • Tailor interventions to a spectrum of needs, including autism, cognitive disabilities, and medically fragile conditions
  • Maintain clear, detailed progress notes and IEP documentation
  • Collaborate with teachers, support staff, and families to promote student achievement and safety
  • Foster motor development, mobility, and functional independence within educational settings
