Job Description

This contract position is ideal for a dedicated Physical Therapist looking to maximize their impact by supporting learners with a wide spectrum of needsranging from autism and cognitive disabilities to medically fragile conditions. Your role will encompass providing expert physical therapy as part of a multi-disciplinary team in a diverse, energetic environment. Significant interaction will occur with students presenting mild to severe disabilities, requiring flexibility, compassion, and creativity in your therapy approach. As you help build life-changing skills, youll also work alongside families and teachers to coordinate effective interventions and create supportive learning settings.

Qualifications & Desired Experience:

  • Active Maryland PT license required
  • Experience in school-based or pediatric Physical Therapy strongly preferred
  • Skilled in developing and implementing individualized treatment plans
  • Comfortable working with students who are blind, visually impaired, or have complex medical or developmental needs
  • Strong collaboration, communication, and documentation skills
  • Ability to adapt quickly in a fast-paced, supportive school setting

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assess student needs and deliver targeted physical therapy interventions
  • Collaborate with educational staff to adapt learning environments for student success
  • Maintain clear records and communicate progress with families and teams
  • Support IEP developments with thorough reports and recommendations
