Job Description

Step into a rewarding contract position as an onsite Physical Therapist supporting students during the 2026-2027 school year near Elk River, MN. This key role provides maternity leave coveragean excellent opportunity to make a meaningful difference within a dynamic school environment. The assignment is anticipated to begin in early September 2026 and continue through late December 2027, with a full-time weekday schedule, Monday through Friday.

What Were Looking For:

  • Active Minnesota Physical Therapist (PT) license (must be submitted with your resume for consideration)
  • Previous pediatric or school-based experience preferred
  • Ability to adapt to a pending or variable caseload
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, collaborating closely with educators, families, and multidisciplinary teams
  • Capacity to independently manage responsibilities and effectively provide coverage for a colleague during their leave
  • Willingness to work fully onsite at the school location

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver direct therapy and interventions tailored to students individual needs
  • Complete evaluations, develop evidence-based treatment plans, and document progress aligned with IEP goals
  • Participate actively in IEP meetings and consult with faculty to support student achievement
  • Maintain accurate documentation and comply with district and state requirements
  • Contribute positively to the school community and foster student independence
