Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Current and valid IL Physical Therapist license required
- Experience or strong interest in working within a school setting, preferably K-12
- Solid understanding of pediatric therapy practices and the ability to adapt interventions to meet the unique needs of young learners
- Committed to providing compassionate and individualized care
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and documentation skills
- Ability to collaborate effectively with educators, families, and other related service personnel
Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality onsite physical therapy services to K-12 students
- Conduct assessments, develop treatment plans, and monitor student progress
- Collaborate with educational staff to integrate therapy strategies into the classroom environment
- Maintain accurate records according to school policies and state regulations
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to the development of individualized education programs
- Educate students, families, and staff on mobility, self-care, and physical activity strategies
