Desired Skills & Experience:
- Valid Illinois Physical Therapist License required
- Previous experience in school-based, pediatric, or related physical therapy settings preferred
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with teachers, staff, families, and students
- Ability to adapt therapy programs to meet individualized education plans (IEPs) for K-12 students
- Commitment to fostering an inclusive, supportive school environment
Responsibilities Include:
- Conducting evaluations, developing, and implementing individualized treatment plans for students across grade levels
- Working closely with educational staff to integrate therapy goals within classroom and school activities
- Monitoring progress and maintaining thorough documentation in compliance with district and regulatory standards
- Educating and empowering families to support student success beyond the classroom
- Participating in IEP meetings and multidisciplinary teams to advocate for student needs
