Qualifications & Experience:

• Valid credentials in Physical Education or related field, with emphasis on adaptive PE
• Proven experience or background working in school settings, preferably with students with diverse abilities
• Understanding of IEP development and goal-setting for adapted physical education
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to collaborate with teachers, therapists, and families
• Ability to develop customized lesson plans and adapt activities for individual student needs
• Excellent organizational and communication abilities

Key Responsibilities:

• Assess students abilities and develop tailored adaptive physical education programs
• Implement lessons that promote physical development, fitness, and motor skills
• Collaborate with classroom teachers and support staff to integrate adaptive PE goals with students IEPs
• Maintain accurate records of student progress and provide regular updates to the educational team and families
• Foster an environment of inclusion and encourage participation in physical activities for all students
• Participate in team and IEP meetings as required
