This contract opportunity offers two unique roles: the first is a 3.5-day-per-week position spanning the entire 2026/2027 school year, while the second is a full-time maternity leave coverage from August to October. You'll play a key role in shaping student success by delivering exceptional PT services within a collaborative, supportive environment.
Qualifications:
- Active Illinois Physical Therapist (PT) license required
- Experience in pediatric, school-based, or healthcare-related PT preferred
- Strong communication abilities to engage with students, staff, and families
- Adaptability and problem-solving skills in dynamic school settings
- Commitment to fostering growth, mobility, and independence for all students
Responsibilities:
- Provide direct and consultative physical therapy services to K-12 students
- Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams to develop and implement Individualized Education Plans (IEPs)
- Assess, document, and monitor each students progress using evidence-based practices
- Educate school staff and families about physical therapy interventions and strategies
- Maintain accurate records in compliance with state and district requirements
- Adapt therapy plans as needed to support students evolving needs throughout the school year
