Job Description

Physical Therapist School-Based (Denver, CO) | Contract Position

This role offers an opportunity to provide vital physical therapy services within a school setting, working directly with K-8 students. The position is onsite in Denver, CO, for a contract duration from ASAP through the end of the school year, requiring approximately 1.5 hours per week of service.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver direct and consultative physical therapy services as outlined by students Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) or Section 504 plans.
  • Assess student gross motor skills, mobility, strength, balance, coordination, and postural control, tailoring interventions accordingly.
  • Collaborate closely with educators, parents, special education teams, and staff to enhance student participation and accessibility.
  • Develop and adjust therapy plans, including recommending adaptive equipment and assistive devices to meet individual student needs.
  • Maintain accurate documentation, monitor student progress, and actively participate in IEP/504 meetings and school initiatives.

Qualifications:

  • Masters Degree in Physical Therapy or related field.
  • Valid Physical Therapist license issued by the appropriate state board.
  • Experience working within educational environments, especially serving K-8 populations, is preferred.

Location & Schedule:

  • Onsite position based in Denver, Colorado.
  • Contract role spanning ASAP through the end of the current school year.
  • Approximately 1.5 hours per week, allowing for focused impact.
