This contract position spans the full academic year and supports a range of schools in an itinerant capacity, engaging with students across multiple educational sites. Each week, youll enjoy a predictable 37.5-hour schedule in a supportive educational environment that values your dedication and expertise.
Key Qualifications:
- Active Physical Therapist license for South Carolina
- Previous experience in pediatric or school-based settings is highly valued
- Strong organizational skills for managing a flexible, multi-site caseload
- Comfort working independently as well as collaboratively with staff, students, and families
- Effective communication abilities to develop and relay individualized treatment plans
Primary Responsibilities:
- Provide onsite physical therapy evaluations and implement appropriate treatment plans for students K-12
- Travel between assigned schools as needed to ensure comprehensive service delivery
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and contribute to IEP development
- Monitor progress, document results, and maintain compliance with district and state guidelines
- Equip teachers and staff with strategies and resources for student support
- Foster a positive, inclusive environment that champions student growth and participation
