Step into an impactful role supporting students as a physical therapist across an innovative, diverse district in the San Francisco area. This contract opportunity runs from August 11, 2026, through June 2, 2027, and offers the chance to work in a truly itinerant capacity, engaging with students at various stages of their educational journey. With a manageable caseload at each site, youll travel between schools, fostering relationships and making a tangible difference within multiple communities.
What were looking for:
- Valid California Physical Therapist (PT) license
- Experience in school-based PT preferred
- Comfort working itinerantly and traveling between a dozen or more school sites
- Adaptability to support early childhood through transition-aged students
- Strong organizational, documentation, and collaboration skills
- Passion for inclusive, student-centered service delivery
- Excellent communication abilities for interacting with students, staff, and families
Your responsibilities will include:
- Providing direct and consultative PT services per student IEPs
- Conducting thorough assessments and evaluations
- Collaborating closely with special education and general education teams
- Developing and implementing individualized treatment plans
- Traveling between multiple school sites to meet students varied needs
- Maintaining accurate, timely documentation and progress reports
- Participating in IEP meetings and parent conferences as needed
