Job Description

Step into a rewarding contract position supporting student wellness and mobility in a dynamic educational environment near Crestview, FL. This on-site role offers the opportunity to make a real difference across several school sites, with a focus on elementary-aged students. Working part-time, youll be engaged with a manageable caseload and collaborate within a caring multidisciplinary team.

Key Qualifications:

  • Masters or Doctorate in Physical Therapy from an accredited program
  • Current Physical Therapist license issued by the Florida Department of Health
  • Previous experience in school settings or pediatric populations is preferred
  • Ability to travel between multiple locations (itinerant capacity)
  • Fingerprinting required per Florida education guidelines (status may be transferrable through AHCA Clearinghouse)
  • Strong interpersonal skills and a commitment to student growth and well-being

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Deliver direct physical therapy services to a caseload of 40 students, mainly at the elementary level
  • Evaluate, develop, and implement individualized treatment plans in accordance with student IEPs
  • Consult and collaborate with educators, related service providers, and families
  • Document therapy sessions, progress reports, and participate in IEP meetings
  • Contribute to a positive, accessible learning environment for students PK-12
