Job Description

Make a significant impact in both student development and educational environments as a Physical Therapist working across elementary, middle, and high schools. This contract opportunity offers dynamic settings where you'll collaborate with educators and families to help students achieve their fullest potential.

Essential Qualifications:

  • Masters degree in Physical Therapy
  • Current and active Physical Therapist license for Louisiana
  • Experience or clinical training in school-based or pediatric settings highly valued
  • Comfort adapting to various developmental levels, from elementary to high school students
  • Strong communication, collaboration, and documentation skills

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assess and evaluate students needs to develop and implement individualized PT interventions
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teamsincluding teachers, counselors, and parentsto support IEP goals
  • Provide direct therapy for students and offer consultative support for school staff
  • Document progress and maintain accurate records in compliance with school and state requirements
  • Educate school personnel and families on physical development and recommended interventions
  • Participate in eligibility meetings, IEP development, and annual reviews as a valued team member
