Qualifications and Desired Experience:

• Masters degree in Physical Therapy is required
• Valid Physical Therapist license for the state of New Mexico
• Previous experience in school-based or pediatric settings preferred
• Strong communication and interpersonal abilities when working with students, families, and staff
• Adaptable to various grade levels, from elementary through high school
• Able to develop and implement individualized therapy plans aligned with academic goals

Key Responsibilities:

• Assess students to identify needs and create tailored treatment plans
• Provide direct physical therapy services to support motor skills, mobility, and participation in activities
• Collaborate with educators, special education teams, and parents to facilitate student progress
• Document services, progress, and outcomes in accordance with school district policies and professional standards
• Contribute to individualized education program (IEP) meetings and goal planning
• Participate in ongoing professional development and maintain compliance with state and federal guidelines
