Qualifications:

• Masters degree from an accredited physical therapy program required
• Current and valid New Mexico physical therapist license
• Previous experience in a school-based or pediatric setting preferred
• Strong collaboration and communication skills
• Ability to adapt interventions based on students individualized education plans (IEPs)
• Commitment to fostering a positive, inclusive environment for diverse learners

Primary Responsibilities:

• Evaluate and assess students physical needs and develop personalized therapy plans
• Deliver direct therapy services to students in both group and individual formats
• Consult and collaborate with teachers, families, and multidisciplinary teams to support student participation in school activities
• Document assessments, progress notes, and required reports in compliance with school and state guidelines
• Support and educate school staff regarding adaptive equipment, mobility techniques, and safe movement for students
• Participate in IEP meetings to help set and review therapy goals
