Desired Qualifications:
- Masters degree in Physical Therapy
- Valid New Jersey Physical Therapist license
- Previous experience in school-based or pediatric settings is preferred
- Ability to communicate effectively with students, educators, and families
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Flexibility to work with a diverse range of students across multiple grade levels
Primary Responsibilities:
- Evaluate students to determine physical therapy needs within the school environment
- Develop and implement individualized and group therapy plans
- Collaborate with teachers, support staff, and parents to adapt activities and classroom strategies
- Maintain accurate records and document student progress
- Attend IEP meetings and contribute to the development of student goals
- Provide guidance on adaptive equipment and modifications to optimize student participation in school activities
- Stay current with best practices in pediatric and school-based physical therapy
