Seeking a dedicated Physical Therapist to support K-8 students for the 2026-2027 school year in Northampton, MA. This contract position offers the opportunity to make a positive difference in the lives of children, working collaboratively with educators and families. With one opening available, you'll manage a caseload of 11-15 students across two buildings, ensuring quality care tailored to their individual needs.
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Active Massachusetts Physical Therapist license required
- Experience working in schools or with pediatric populations preferred
- Understanding of IEP requirements and collaboration with multidisciplinary teams
- Strong organizational skills for managing caseload across multiple sites
- Excellent communication abilities with students, staff, and families
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct physical therapy services to K-8 students in accordance with individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Assess and document student progress, maintaining accurate records
- Work with teachers and school staff to adapt environments for accessibility and student success
- Offer consultative services and training to school teams and families
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to the development of appropriate goals
