Key Qualifications:
- Current Virginia Physical Therapy license required
- Previous pediatric or school-based PT experience highly preferred
- Comfortable working across various school sites with students from kindergarten through 12th grade
- Strong communication skills for collaboration with other educators, staff, and families
- Familiarity with standard PT duties, including developing treatment plans, direct therapy, and documentation
- Ability to complete required district onboarding processes, including fingerprint clearance before start date
Primary Responsibilities:
- Deliver physical therapy services to a varied K-12 caseload based on IEP and district needs
- Travel between assigned schools to provide comprehensive, direct care
- Document evaluation results, maintain progress notes, and report on student outcomes
- Participate in IEP meetings and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to promote student access and success
- Offer training and support to school staff and families when appropriate
- Adhere to all state licensing and district regulations
