Qualifications:
- Licensed Physical Therapist with valid state certification (or eligibility)
- Experience working in a school or pediatric setting preferred
- Strong knowledge of developing and implementing IEPs and 504 plans
- Ability to collaborate effectively with teachers, support staff, and parents
- Excellent communication and documentation skills
- Adaptable and proactive approach to addressing varied student needs
- Current CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)
What Youll Do:
- Assess students physical development and functional abilities within the school setting
- Develop and implement personalized treatment plans to support students' educational participation
- Conduct ongoing evaluations and adjust interventions as necessary
- Document therapy sessions, progress, and maintain meticulous records per regulatory requirements
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to address student goals
- Educate students, families, and teaching staff on strategies and tools for success
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute expert recommendations for student support
