Job Description
Make a meaningful difference supporting students from PreK through 12th grade as a licensed Physical Therapist in a vibrant educational setting near Charlotte, NC. This rewarding, full-time contract opportunity runs from August 10, 2026 to June 1, 2027, offering you the chance to help students achieve their highest potential and thrive in academic environments. Interviews are being held now via Zoom, with official offers expected to be extended after July 1st.
Your qualifications:
- Active Physical Therapist license valid in North Carolina
- Experience delivering physical therapy services in a school-based setting
- Familiarity with ECATS (Exceptional Children Accountability Tracking System)
- Demonstrated success supporting diverse student populations from preschool through high school
- Strong teamwork, communication, and documentation skills
Role responsibilities:
- Provide direct and consultative PT services for students across grade levels, tailored to individual needs and IEPs
- Collaborate with educators, counselors, families, and support staff to develop and implement effective interventions
- Conduct assessments and contribute to multi-disciplinary evaluation teams
- Maintain accurate records and progress reports in accordance with district and state requirements, including ECATS documentation
- Attend IEP meetings, providing input on student goals and strategies to support mobility and functional independence in the school environment
- Travel as needed between assigned locations within the district

- Full-time schedule totaling 37.5 hours per week
